Hands on DIY physics labs with easily sourced materials.

Doing physics experiments with materials lying around the house can be more effective than fancy equipment.

Our goal is to provide physics lab exercises that can be done simply, cheaply, and with minimal equipment. You can do this by purchasing a few basic things, or just checking your junk drawer.

Why?

Due to the pandemic we had to decide on how to deliver a first year university physics laboratory experience for students at McMaster University. We shipped hundreds of lab kits, wrote a manual, and made instructional videos. We think this is better than traditional labs. What do you think?
